Arma II: Armored Assault, is so intense that you will feel like you are in the game, instead of sitting at your computer. The Real Virtuality engine, that was utilized to create the game, had been used by militaries all around the globe. It has taken ten years to develop this engine and you can witness this effort through the various aspects of the game. From the changing whether, realistic day/night cycles and especially during battles, you will just be in awe.

The realistic effect also play out with events and battles, as nothing is every the same. Much of the game is unscripted, including the AI. As your tactic change depending on the battles, the speech and moves of the AI also changes; depending on what is going on around him.

However, you AI is not completely independent, you can control your squad, and use high commands during battles, which gives you a great advantage in war. For something even more exciting you have the option of an ambient battle system. This populates the world with even more friends and foes, that fight around you. All of this, in addition to the authentic weapon stimulation, makes no two battles the same.

As for the weapon system, it is unlike any other game. No hit is guaranteed, and each weapon has a realistic penetration, projectory and drop offs, therefore each shot is simulated and determined as to whether or not you have made contact with an enemy. Another great aspect of weapon use is that you have the ability to move your head and view your surrounded area, without having to drop down your weapon.

The realism is not only limited to battles. Your decisions, from how you treat others to resource management, can drastically change the outcome of the campaign. For instance, if you terrorize civilians and lose their trust they may reveal valuable information to your enemies. Arma II: Armored Assault isn’t like any other shooter on the market, and it never has to end! The intuitive mission editor gives you the option to expand the universe further by creating your own missions and campaigns, so this game can keep you entertained for quite some time.
