When you first see Fishdom, you may think it is similar to many of the other games that have become popular. However, when she spent a couple minutes you realize this is not just a game and putting fish in the tank, a unique simulation that is combined with a great puzzle game.

After you download the trial version of the game, you have one hour of playing time to decide whether or not you’d like to purchase the game to be able to play it all the time. It will probably take you about five minutes to reach for your credit card. Don’t take my word for it though, make sure you use your full hour to check out all the different aspects of the game.

The tutorial in the beginning of the game only takes a couple minutes to go through and is extremely helpful in showing you the ropes of how to actually play the game. It’s not very difficult as you basically start with a small amount of cash and have to start to fill up your fish tank. They really only start you off with enough to buy one fish and then you have to earn more money to buy additional fish and supplies for the tank.

The tutorial walks you through the purchase of your first fish and then since you were out of money, it’s a shoe over the proposal portion of the game where you can earn more. You were quickly reminded of games like Tetris as you have to combine tiles that have the same image on them and try to rid the screen of a certain type of tile to complete the level. Once you complete the level you will receive your cash for the combinations and speed in which you have done it.

The way you receive points is by creating a section of three or more of the same pieces in a row. If you combine more than three you will receive bonus points. The larger combinations that you make, you have the chance of being awarded special tiles that have extra features.

You can be awarded tiles that will show an image of dynamite, bombs or rockets that will take out more than just a row there are attached in. The best piece is the lightning bolt, you can move this on top of any symbol and it will take out that symbol everywhere in the puzzle.

When the level is over and complete, you are where your cash and now you can go back to your tank and add new things. You can buy another fish, you can get plants or comfort features for the tank. You have to max out all three categories in order to get the championship cup and move up to the new tank. You have to make sure you pay attention to your fish because an idea bubble will pop over top of them and you will have to get the item that they desire to keep them happy. It sounds simple, but before you know it hours of past and you are still looking to spend more time playing Fishdom.
