Real time strategy games such as StarCraft 2 are for the most part easy to play, but hard to master. There are very in depth systems and strategies in this type of game more than any other. Micro Management

Micro management can be one of the hardest things to learn in any real time strategy game. What is micro management? It is the process of utilizing the skills and talents of individual units. For instance take a unit who can use grenades. You can greatly maximize the damage output of this unit by using it when you want them to on large groups of enemies. Some abilities can be used automatically, but the AI most of the time will use it whenever it sees fit instead of the best time. If you can learn to use the abilities yourself in these situations then you can perform it much better than the AI.

Build Orders To Your Powerful Units

Each race has their own unique powerful units. With a guide you can quickly learn the most effective and quick way to get these units out as fast as possible. One of the big things about real time strategy games like StarCraft 2 is that there is a lot of rushing in the beginning of the game. Rushing is getting a group of units together and going very early in the game to attack your enemy rather than build up a large army first.

Learn The Tactics For Each Match Up

Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses. If you know the strengths that your race has versus your opponent it can make the match a much easier win for you. You will even learn how to fight your own race, for instance Terran versus Terran. There are also different strategies that each player my use for each race and naturally there will be a counter for every strategy. Knowing these counters is essential for victory.
