This sets the stage for the last piece to the puzzle. When Chris Moneymaker wins the WSOP World Championship of Poker in 2003, poker takes off. Getting into the Main Event from a $40 online satellite event, then winning, starts the avalanche of poker popularity.

The combination of the pocket cam improving the popularity of viewing poker on television, and the rise of online poker adding to the number of poker players, set things up for the explosion that occurred due to Moneymakers stunning win. With the world seeing an online, amateur player, out duel some top pros to win the biggest poker tournament ever at the time, poker activity increased dramatically.

This rapid increase in activity produces many opportunities for poker savvy business people. There are numerous ways to get rich in poker. A lot of these possibilities are internet. Let’s name a few of the businesses you can try in this growing industry.
